Three Videos I took of the Downshifting/Braking Demo on Sunday These were taken with my digital camera that also does video at 15 fps, so they are a little choppy. |

|
Turn 3 |
Jason comes in first on a stock GSX-750, then Richie comes next on his Daytona GSX-R750. If you listen right at the very start you'll hear Jason's 2 downshifts right away. He is letting out the clutch in between shifts and braking. He then lets the engine brake as he's taking the corner and then accelerates out of it. The camera keeps spinning and then picks up Richie entering the corner with a similar technique. |

Turn 8 |
Now on Turn 8. Jason is just finishing the long straight at around 140mph. You can hear his 2 quick downshifts right at the start and begins to brake and then uses trail braking as he enters the corner. He then carries the corner using engine braking and then briefly accelerates to turn 9. Even though I turned the camera away, you can then hear his downshift for corner 9 as he is just getting into it as the clip ends. |

|
Turn 3 |
Again on Turn 8. Richie is showing his technique on the same corner. He has immediately done one downshift just as the video pics up. He then rides for a bit, downshifts again while braking and enters the turn. Like the last clip, even though I turned the camera away, you can still hear his downshift for turn 9. |
